The Department of Population Facts deals with a variety of activities: those related to people’s place of residence (incl. registering places of residence and amending place of residence data); changes of name; births, deaths and marriages (registering births and deaths, contracting and divorcing marriages and amending births, deaths and marriages data in the Population Register); and it issues both personal ID codes and data and certificates from the Population Register.
