Smart Bike Share network to be closed until the end of the week due to heavy snow

30 November / Due to heavy snowfall, the Smart Bike Share network will be temporarily closed to users. The Smart Bike Share network will be closed from 15.00 today until the end of the week.
‘Snow covered and frozen bicycle docks make picking up and returning bicycles difficult,’ said Roman Meeksa, Head of Tartu City Transport, according to whom the bicycle docks will be cleared of snow by the end of the week.
The system will reopen early Monday morning at 05.00. If cleaning of the docks is completed sooner, the Smart Bike Share network will reopen earlier, with an announcement being made on the Smart Bike Share network’s Facebook page.
Additional information about the Smart Bike Share network can be obtained from the City of Tartu’s information telephone, 1789, which is open on working days from 08.00-18.00. The call centre is closed on weekends.
