City residents are invited to greet Their Majesties the King and Queen of Sweden

/ On 4 May, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden will visit Tartu as part of their state visit. City residents are invited to greet the Their Majesties in Town Hall Square and at the main building of Tartu University.
Their Majesties will arrive at Tartu Town Hall Square at 11.25, where they will be welcomed by Mayor Urmas Klaas. Afterwards, the guests will make an entry in the City of Tartu’s Book of Honour. Residents are also invited to greet Their Majesties on Town Hall Square.
Their Majesties will proceed to the main building of the University of Tartu at 11.40, where Rector Toomas Asser will give a speech and the King of Sweden will make an entry in the Book of Honour. At 12.00, Their Majesties will then head from the main building to the Gustav II Adolf monument. Visitors can also greet Their Majesties at the main building and at the statue of Gustav II Adolf.
The King of Sweden, accompanied by a Swedish business delegation, will also visit the University of Tartu Delta Centre and the Estonian University of Life Sciences, and plant a tree in the Tähtvere Dendropark. The Estonian National Museum will also be visited.
King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and Queen Silvia are in Estonia at the invitation of President Alar Karis.
